I have refinished and sealed all the bathroom teak bathmats. Before and after. Glad that is done.
Templates being made for our new outdoor aft deck cushions. They will be classic Nantucket Navy/White stripes.
I have nicknamed David "The Talking Head". Everytime I see him he is looking thru a hatch. He is turning the hatches around so that when we are at anchor we can catch the breeze. In Europe they put the hatches on backwards because of all the rain. In the tropics it doesn't allow the breeze to flow thru the boat. I am very happy this has been done. Great job David.
Andy working on the TV arms so that when we adjust the TV in any direction for the best viewing. Also going to connect a hard drive loaded with movies and music so we don't need to store DVD's. My Wii will also be hooked up to the new Bose system.
Gotta love a guy who tries not to make a mess.
We have added two additional hatches in the Salon for extra air flow. Much needed improvement.
Since Mark is 6'7", he has to try the shower on for size. We are tying to find the right shower for our new master bath. This one would work. I like it too. That is for the next set of renovations.
I don't think we can make the fish art lighting work, but it looks cool.
Nice afternoon in the Lagoon.
Sailor demonstrating his stay skills. He is doing better, but it's really hard for him when I get off the boat and he has to stay on board.
Sailor is showing off our new Permanant Jackline/Safety line. On the crossing our jacklines were on the deck at the lifelines. So you are underway and have to bend down at the edge and if you go over you would be hanging in the water. Not very safe but it was all we had. Now you reach up and hook on and if you fall you are still on the deck. The line continues to the front at the mast then another line to take you forward.
Sailor likes to be safe. After all he is precious cargo.
Trying on our new UV protection window covers. They should be installed later today. This should help keep the cabin much cooler and protect the glass. I can not wait.
The almost finished product. It has to go back for a few minor adjustments and later today will be installed. YEAH!
Okay we went to Phillipsburg and had lunch at a real touristy place. Air Lekkerbek which means sweet tooth. The lunch was really good.
The local Rotary Club meets here every Tuesday.
Kathy Parks this is for you...Mark demonstating the Four Way Test.
Best of all was the West Knoxville Rotary Club banner.
All in all for a tourist stop it was a good lunch and good service.
On the way back to the boat I tried to capture the lagoon from the moving car. Not the best pic but it is a lovely view. More pictures of completed work soon and keep you posted on our exit date.
See you on the big blue watery road,
Theresa
