PROGRESS...we will take it in any form we can

We are finally making progress.  All the men were happy with the results today.  Santi, our Raymarine tech, got the chart plotter to display on large flat screen tv in the salon.  Men and their toys!

Santi had a tough day today as Mark accidently locked him in the engine room.  Poor guy had to use his cell phone and call for help.  Ever since Mark had an employee die from falling through an improperly covered hole on the job, we are overly cautious about open holes and covers.  So when the open engine room cover was spotted, Mark looked in and didn't see anyone and to be safe closed the lid.  Santi was inside checking the rudders to make sure they were communicating with the rudder indicator on the Raymarine equipment.  We all were wondering where Santi went.  Thought he might have taken a siesta.  Luckily he was freed unharmed from the engine room and we were all able to laugh about it.

Laurence our rigging specialist had to spend quite a bit of time at the top of the 80 foot mast.  I am not sure that I would want to do what he had to do.  It makes my palms sweat just watching him up there.

We ended the day with a wonderful dinner at Ca Na Marga (http://www.canamarga.com/) with Captain Graham Turner and his wife, The Dragon.  More to come on the Dragon later.  The steaks at this place just melt in your mouth.  Wonderful meal and the company was even better.  Nice way to end the day.
Adios,
Mark & Theresa
